Greetings from Adventure Bound!

We could see long ago that kids need a first class adventure resort they can call their own.  They do not want to share with adults groups and they do not want to be told they are only welcome on certain days.  What they DO want are exciting adventures and an outstanding resort without a set of exclusions, restrictions and exceptions.  So, nine years ago, we built just that and Adventure Bound has been THE choice for Youth Groups and Families looking for excitement in the beautiful Maine woods.

Resort Facilities

There is nothing like Adventure Bound.  First and foremost, the whole facility is alcohol-free and designed for kids.  You will not be sharing the facility with partying adults or have to worry about a bar or nightclub atmosphere.  Best of all, this resort facility offers so much to do, being bored here isn’t an option.  Chaperones can relax as kids enjoy the climbing wall, outdoor heated pool and 24-person hot tub.  Guests also have access to the arcade, movie theater, softball, basketball, volleyball, pool tables, stereo sound system, and our huge nightly bon-fire.

Who should choose Adventure Bound?

Youth groups of all shapes and sizes are welcome to Adventure Bound and enjoy challenging activities both day and night.  Scouts and Venture Crews earn Merit Badges, schedule District challenges, and host Camporees at our facility.  Graduating students share exciting class trips and especially enjoy our Learning With Adventure programs.  Summer camps, Boys and Girls Clubs and Recreation Departments add travel and adventure to their existing in-house programming.  Church youth groups enjoy a comfortable and exciting place for retreats.  Family groups find our facilities and activities a perfect way to bond with these shared experiences.

Outstanding Programs

Our diverse set of outdoor adventures include whitewater rafting and canoeing on the Kennebec and Dead Rivers, rock climbing and rappelling on local cliffs, hiking on the Appalachian Trail and our own on-site, 16-element Adventure Challenge Ropes Course.  Our best trip yet is the Two Day Overnight Wilderness Adventure complete with two days of exciting whitewater rafting, a wilderness sauna under the stars and waking to the ghostly calls of loons at sunrise.  Combine your favorites or we can custom design half-day to multi-day programs for those with specific needs.  Our convenient and affordable packages can include meals and accommodation options to compliment your exciting adventures

Staff

We take great pride in these folks and they in turn take great pride in their profession. Chosen not only for their terrific skills but also enthusiasm and the ability to be positive role models to our young guest, these patient men and women are the heart of Adventure Bound.  Our friendly and helpful resort staff will make your stay trouble-free and our guide staff share in the thrill of the adventure, all the while teaching the skills and safety procedures involved with these activities.

We suggest starting early as many of our dates are booked months and sometime years in advance.  Our reservation staff will gladly offer any and all assistance you’ll need to plan the ultimate trip.
